Gluten free for the whole Family! New Products!

Growing up with a baby sister with Celiac Sprue (which seems to be the ever growing "gluten free" right now) I know that having the proper foods and nutrients when you are on such a limiting diet can be overwhelming and 23 year ago it was even scary, having very little resources for products that are now available right here

If you are familiar with food storage, and are "Gluten free" your probably getting a little rice heavy in the "long term food storage" department. I'm so pleased to announce that Shelf Reliance is now carrying Gluten free grain products! We also offer many other options for those who are gluten free.

Alot of products out there contain many ingredients such as thickeners and taste enhancers (can I leave it at that?). Our body's, especially those with a such intolerance's as those with celiac have don't react well to those. We have such an extensive line of foods that are great for those who have Gluten and other intolerances because.... it's JUST FOOD! Strawberries are JUST STRAWBERRIES, peas and corn are just that. You can have instant beans and meats that have no preservatives or added enhancers or thickeners.
This is a great advancment for those who want to have a healthy supply of food for thier families, to help get along... today, tomorrow or in an emergency!

Check out some of our new gluten free products below!
And as always our extensive line of fruits and Vegetables!

Amaranth

THRIVE Amaranth is a gluten-free grain that provides essential nutrients that are necessary for a healthy lifestyle. Amaranth makes a great substitute for dishes that call for oatmeal. It can also be used to create rich, hearty soups that will keep you warm on even the coldest winter day.

Millet

THIRVE Millet is a gluten-free grain that is easy to cook with so you can create a variety of wheat-free recipes in no time at all. Try using millet with any recipe from breads to casseroles. The bold flavor will give your meal a boost of nutrition and a unique and delicious flavor.

Cornmeal

THRIVE cornmeal is a great for breads, dumplings, pizza, and soups. I like to put it on my pizza stone when making Pizza it bakes a perfect crust!

Rice Flour

THRIVE Rice Flour is a gluten-free grain that is low in saturated fat, cholesterol, and sodium. You can use rice flour just like you would use white or wheat flour. Try adding THRIVE Rice Flour to some of your favorite recipes for bread, rolls, cakes, and cookies.

Quinoa

THRIVE Quinoa is unique because although it is sometimes considered a grain it is actually closely related to leafy green vegetables such as spinach, making quinoa rich in both amino acids and protein.
When cooked, quinoa can become a delicious hot cereal, pasta, or side dish. It also can add a rich flavo to soups and salads.

These are our certified Natural Gluten Free Grains. We also carry many other naturally Gluten free foods good for everyday snacking or as essential nutrients for your families Food storage!

Eggs...Your going to l♥ve what you see & taste!

I'm Very excited to introduce you to my friend...eggs!
First the facts:
YES! These are real eggs!

Whites? Yolks?
Yes these are Powdered Eggs, including the yolk and the White.

Can you scramble them? Or are they just for baking?
YES you can scramble them! And I only bake with them now!

How does the cost compare to just buying eggs at the store?
If 24 whole eggs are $3.10=.12 an egg
or if 12 eggs are $1.99 =.16 an egg

Seriously?
They are real eggs, they cook up, bake up, and measure up like real eggs do!

Here are a few shots of the eggs, from pouring them into the pan till ready to eat.
Since my hubby asks for these on a regular basis before work, there are a few different shots.
I add Freeze dried Sausage, green and red bell peppers, and onions to his eggs and typically roll them in a whole wheat tortilla and he's off to work!

These ones I added Salsa Verde to after they were about done and sprinkled some grated cheddar Cheese...
I got a "thank you " text from him before he headed in to work!

Going to bake cookies with these I was very pleasently surprised to find that they... are perfect.
They are always there, no matter if I'm making a triple batch for church or PTA or a single batch...
Here are some Yummy cookies made with thrive eggs...

Thrive eggs are a miracle for your food storage!
A blessing for your budget!

And a great way to always be prepared, today, tomorrow or in an emergency!

Every journey starts with the first step!

If you are new to food storage, don't feel that you have to
"eat the whole elephant in 1 bite"! (weird saying...)

I used to find myself at times feeling  bad because I didn't have all that my family needed in our emergency supply. But knew that I should have one! But like saving money, a little at a time builds up and soon, (usually sooner than you thought, you start to see progress).
But like with my savings, I had to have a plan.

Where are you at in your food storage?
What is your goal?
What are your needs?
If you go here to our Thrive food Planner, you can see just how much your family even needs!
If it's been one of those things on your mind...try out the Q for a few months, you set your own budget and start to get food delivered every month. No commitment (And it's delicious!) After a few months, you see a stack of boxes or a can rotating system start to fill up and you realize... it all started with the first step.
